John K. King Books' Downtown Detroit location is just off the Lodge Freeway at 901 W. Lafayette Blvd. Look for the iconic red glove painted on the side of the four story building.
VIA I-94 E (Ann Arbor): Use I-94 East toward Detroit. Merge onto I-96 East at 213B. Follow signs for I-75 North/M-10 Toward Civic Center/Flint. Use the right lane to join M-10 South and finally exit at exit 1C for Howard Street/TCF Roof. Continue straight on the Lodge Service Drive, then make a left at the 2nd light, Lafayette Blvd. We are on the right hand side.
VIA I-75 N (Downriver): Take I-75 North towards Detroit until exit 49 toward Civic Center/Southfield. Use the right lane for M-10 South, to exit 1C Howard Street/TCF Roof. Continue straight on the Lodge Service Drive, then make a left at the 2nd light, Lafayette Blvd. We are on the right hand side.
VIA I-96 W (Novi/Wixom): Take I-96 East toward Detroit. Merge onto I-696 East for Port Huron/Grand River Ave/MI 5 East. Stay on I-696 E, taking Exit 8 for M-10 toward US 12/Lodge Fwy/Telegraph. Exit at 1C Howard Street/TCF Roof. Continue straight on the Lodge Service Drive, then make a left at the 2nd light, Lafayette Blvd. We are on the right hand side.
VIA I-94 W (Grosse Point/Mt. Clemens:) Take I-94 W toward Detroit. Use the left lane for 215A M-10 South toward Downtown. Exit at 1C Howard Street/TCF Roof. Continue on the Lodge Service Drive, then make a left at the 2nd light, Lafayette Blvd. We are on the right hand side.
Several buses drop off just out front of our store, as well as one block South on Fort Street, including Routes 19 and 1.

From the South: Take Woodward Avenue North directly into Ferndale. Just before 9 Mile Road you will find us on your Right-Hand side.
From the North: Taking I-75 South, Exit at Exit 61 for 11 Mile Road East. Take a left onto 11 Mile East, then go Right onto Woodward (M-1) South. Continue on Woodward. Our store will be on your left-hand side just a few blocks south of 9 Mile Road.
From the East: I-696 West will take you to Exit 17 for Woodward Ave (M-1). Follow the signs for M-1 South/Woodward Ave. South. Continue on Woodward and cross 10 Mile Road. Just a few blocks south of 9 Mile Road is our store, on your left-hand side.
From the West: Take I-696 East to Exit 17 for Woodward Avenue (M-1). Follow signs to M-1 South/Woodward Avenue South. Continuing South on Woodward Ave you will cross 10 Mile Road and find our store on your left-hand side, just a few blocks south of 9 Mile Road.
